CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — University of Illinois students have a chance to 'kick' the 2025 Illini football season off strong with free season tickets.
The team is partnering with Chick-fil-A to host "Kickin' for Chicken" at Memorial Stadium. Students who have purchased season tickets for 2025 will get one try at a 35-yard field goal.
Anyone who makes the kick will get the cost of their student season tickets given back to them.
The first 3,000 students will also get a free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich or chicken nuggets, regardless of whether they make or miss the kick.
The event will be on Thursday, May 8, from 4-7 p.m.
Students need to RSVP online for the event. They will also need to show their i-cards at the check-in, which will be at the northwest tunnel of the stadium at 3:30 p.m.
