CLINTON, Ill. (WAND) - A Clinton firefighter had to be taken to the hospital after fighting a fire at a large tank manufacturing building Tuesday night.Â
The Clinton Fire Department was called to 1600 East Main St. at 9:18 p.m. Heavy fire was coming from the south side of the building.Â
The fire was upgraded to a third alarm to bring in more resources. A ladder truck was used to help put the fire out. It was under control in less than 20 minutes, and the third alarm was cancelled while still in route.Â
A Clinton firefighter suffered a minor injury and was taken to the hospital. They have since been released.Â
The scene was cleared at 2 a.m. Wednesday.Â
The fire is not believed to be suspicious, but the cause is under investigation by the Illinois State Fire Marshal's Office.Â
