(WAND WEATHER) - The National Weather Service is confirming a minimum of five tornadoes across central Illinois from Wednesday. However, that number may change as all crews have yet to complete their survey.

It's the first week of April, and we're almost at the average number of tornadoes we see in an entire year!

Unfortunately, the next round of heavy storms is due shortly.

While tornadic activity is not expected with the next bout of rain and thunderstorms, there can be flooding in spots, along with strong winds and hail Friday afternoon and night.
