A mild and sunny middle of the week

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Wednesday! We are expecting a quiet and warm stretch for the next few days. Temperatures today will start mild in the 50s, but plenty of sunshine with winds out of the south will warm up the air quickly. Temperatures will hit the low 80s this afternoon.

Thursday will be a repeat with a mix of sun and clouds for the afternoon. Temperatures will go from the upper 50s to the mid-80s for the afternoon. Overnight lows into Friday morning will be warmer in the mid-60s. Humidity will start to climb on Friday afternoon. Highs will be similar in the mid-80s, but feels-like temperatures will climb into the 90s by Friday afternoon.

Storm chances will increase overnight Friday into Saturday morning. Scattered showers and storms will linger through the start of next week. Overnight lows will be much warmer in the upper 60s for the start of next week.
