DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Wednesday! Showers have more or less dried up in our area, leaving us with drier and warmer conditions as we head towards the nighttime today. Temperatures for some of us ranged close to 90 degrees, especially towards the northwest of our region. The humidity also had an impact on some of our community, with dew points close to 70 degrees for some.
Overnight, conditions will stay clear, but a few more clouds will enter the picture once we get a little bit closer to sunrise on Thursday. They will be upper-level clouds, so they won’t make your Thursday gray and gloomy at all! In fact, we’ll see temperatures similar to what we did today in central Illinois for your Thursday.
As far as rain goes, an upper-level Omega block in our jet stream will be blocking rain chances heading towards the end of this month of May. The showers that we saw today will more than likely be the last chance for rain we will have until we kickstart the month of June. In the meantime, enjoy the pleasant and dry conditions!
