(WAND) - It's one of my favorite acronyms - BASMOQ (pronounced baz-em-awk)
And, it's a great way to remember the large provinces of Canada from west to east. Knowing geography is a huge part of weather, so hopefully this helps. It doesn't take into account the northern tier provinces or Atlantic Canada; you're on your own there.
B is for British Columbia.
A is for Alberta
S is Saskatchewan
