DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Good morning and happy Sunday!

Patchy fog is starting the day, most noticeable along I-72 and south. Visibility improves quickly after sunrise, with fog expected to burn off around 8 AM.

After that, the main story becomes cloudy skies and a few scattered light showers. These won’t be a washout, but keep an umbrella handy if you’ll be out and about. A few rumbles of thunder are possible with any stronger shower.

Temperatures will run a bit cooler behind the cold front, with afternoon highs in the low to mid 80s. Showers will taper off gradually this evening, and we’ll continue to trend drier with clearing skies overnight.

Looking ahead

Aside from a bit of spotty drizzle, Monday looks mainly dry and slightly milder. That quieter, modestly warm pattern should hold through midweek, before rain chances return Thursday.
