DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Central Illinois saw unhealthy air quality on Friday and even this weekend.
The good news for Saturday and Sunday is Central Illinois' air quality has significantly improved, but the smoke will continue to linger into the beginning of the work week.
With that being said, most of the smoke looks to remain aloft, leaving us with hazy skies, but improved air quality.
As winds eventually shift to becoming from the south, the wildfire smoke will no longer be an issue, however, the concern then becomes the return of heat and humidity to the area.
