CHARLESTON, Ill. (WAND) - Get ready to brave the heat during the 172nd edition of the Coles County Fair.
The Coles County Fair began Sunday and will run through Aug. 2 at the Coles County Fairgrounds in Charleston.
Fairgoers can enjoy activities like twilight harness racing, a truck and tractor pull, a dairy show, a western horse show, a Coles County law enforcement K-9 demonstration and more.
The fair's carnival, which will feature plenty of rides and fair food, will begin on Monday.
A demolition derby will also take place at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
