413-415 E. Adams has a long history, dating all the way back to 1903. That is when it was built by Leonard Reisch.Â
Lincoln Library shared that Frank Sanford & Co furniture store was the first tenant in 1904.
The building was struck by lightning in July 1912 and was heavily fire damaged, but Sanford was back in business by December 1912.
Leath Furniture occupied 413 from 1934-1977.
The Vogue disco moved in in 1979.
Other businesses and organizations that have occupied the building are Blue Cross Blue Shield, Gateway Foundation, Shoetopia, Sangamon County Democrats, Elf Shelf, Milk and Honey Fresh Market, Whimsy Tea, Out on Adams, and Cats Pyjamas.
