EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WAND) - Bridge repairs resume Monday on the Banker St. overpass between Fayette Ave. and West Clark Ave. in Effingham.

The Illinois Department of Transportation said one lane will be open in each direction. There will be arrow boards, barricades and signs up for traffic control.

IDOT said the repairs will extend the life of the bridge and increase safety for both drivers and pedestrians.

The repairs are expected to be done by mid-May.
