Children’s Museum of Illinois to hold Mardi Gras celebration

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Children's Museum of Illinois in Decatur is set to hold a celebration in honor of Mardi Gras.

The event will be on Fat Tuesday, February 17.

It will include authentically prepared food paired with a selection of beer and wine, live music from the Sidewalk Stompers, games, raffles, and, of course, beads.

You must be 21 or older to attend. It will be from 6:30 - 9:00 pm at the Children’s Museum (55 S. Country Club Rd., Decatur, IL 62521). Tickets are $80 per person or $150 per pair. Or, you can grab some friends

and get a table of six for only $420.

All proceeds from the event directly benefit the growth of the museum including providing Angel Memberships, accessible educational programming, and keeping the museum exhibits fresh and up to date.
