DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) — After three shootings in one weekend, the Danville community is demanding change.

The local advocacy group Project Success hosted an Emergency Community meeting Thursday night.

Chase Clark is a member of Project Success's Youth Coalition. He said it's time to take a stand and make a change.

"It happened at Winter Park. It happened at Save-A-Lot. It happened at a barbershop. How many more spaces have to be considered unsafe for us to finally do something about it? I mean, these are places people go just for comfort, convenience, or service. At what point do we say enough is enough?" he said.

Project Success connected attendees with resources, including Cross Point mental health services. People affected by gun violence in the community could be connected to a therapist or mental health specialist.
