DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Decatur native Terrence Taylor — better known as DJ TAT — will take his talents to a national stage as an Official DJ for the Big Ten.

DJ TAT is best known for his work with the Fighting Illini's men's basketball and football teams. Now, after more than 20 years in the industry, Taylor is celebrating how far he has come.

"To DJ for family and friends — a group of maybe 20 people — to now, a 20,000-person stadium. To perform for stadiums? I would have never imagined," Taylor said.

Following the announcement, Taylor said he has received an outpouring of support.

"It's a testament to our community, especially here in Decatur, how if one of us succeeds, we all succeed," he said.

Taylor will DJ the women's semifinals on Saturday, March 7, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
