Today, Thursday, February 8 is also the beginning of mailing Vote by Mail ballots for voters that requested to receive their ballot by mail or are enrolled in the Permanent Vote by Mail Program for partisan primaries.

Registered voters interested in casting a ballot by mail for the March 19 Primary only or to enroll in the Permanent Vote by Mail Program must submit an application to their Election Office.

“Since Illinois has made substantial investments in the opportunity of voting by mail, it has become a preferred service for many of our voters and continues to grow every election cycle. The public should have great confidence in the manner in which Sangamon County processes, validates and secures our vote by mail system for an accurate and accountable election,” said Gray.

“I encourage all voters to utilize the convenience of voting by mail and returning it through our secure, tamper proof and video monitored ballot return drop boxes.”
