DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Empowering the Total Man in Decatur plans to host a fellowship breakfast next month.

On March 7, men in the community are invited to come together for the fellowship breakfast. Organizer Antwane McClelland told WAND News there will be motivational speakers who will discuss overcoming obstacles.

"You see a lot going on in our community, and I think we need to build a strong male force in our community," he told WAND News.

McClelland, who has had a passion for Decatur and supporting the community, said the goal is to support men and teach them how to lean on one another. He wants there to be a sense of unity.

"We can't fight this battle alone," he said. "We need every man willing to come aboard and just help reach our young people in this community."

The Empowering the Total Man Fellowship Breakfast will be on Saturday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. It is a free admission, but donations are accepted. The event will be at 229 W. Main Street in Decatur.
