Holiday decorations, heated golf carts, and Santa coming to Trees on the Tees event this year

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Decatur Park District is bringing back Trees on the Tees, presented by The Heart of Illinois Community Foundation.

The outdoor holiday experience will take place at Hickory Point Golf Course on December 3–7 and December 10–14.

You will get to hop on a golf cart after dark and drive through a path decorated with holiday trees. After, there will be a fire pit, s'mores, hot cocoa, and live performances by Decatur Park District Dancers. Guests can also experience a Virtual Reality Machine, purchase mini donuts, and visit Santa.

Walking & Riding Details

· Walking Nights: December 4, 7, & 13 – 5:00 p.m. – $6 per person (First 30 minutes of these nights reserved for walkers only)

· Riding (Golf Cart) Nights: 5:00 – 8:30 p.m. – $9 per person

New this year is the Heat Wave Cruiser. Enclosed, heated golf carts are available.

· Seats 4 adults plus a few small children (on laps)

· Rental Prices:

o Wednesdays & Thursdays – $150 per cart

o Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays – $200 per cart

· Only two rentals available every half hour

You can also get a VIP golf cart that is specially decorated and holds seven passengers.
