DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — After being open for 116 years, Raupp's Shoes in Downtown Decatur is closing its doors.

Raupp's is a sit and fit store where the sellers specialize in perfectly sizing each customer's shoes.

Now, Linda Brilley co-owns it with her uncle, and she is getting ready to retire. Raupp's Shoes opened in 1909 and has been passed down from generation to generation.

"I was self-taught by my dad. He worked here probably 70 years before he finally retired. And my uncle also did that," Brilley said. "It's the last sit and fit shoe store in Decatur."

They do not have an official closing day yet, as they are still clearing out their inventory. All shoes are 30% off, and they are also selling their furnishings and shelves.
