TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - There was a record turnout at a Back 2 School Health and Resource Fair in Taylorville this weekend.Â
Nearly 400 people attended the event August 1.Â
250 backpacks and school supplies were given to local students. 50 free haircuts were given, and 30 vision and hearing screenings were performed.Â
The event was held at the Christian County YMCA and included a free community cookout. 27 community organizations and vendors were on site providing free resources.
