Ribbon-cutting to be held for new playground at Champaign's Millage Park

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - The Champaign Park District will be holding a ribbon-cutting for the new playground at Millage Park.

The public is invited to attend the event on Thursday, June 4, at 6 p.m.

Millage Park's playground has been closed for construction since April and recently reopened.

The redesign features pour-in-place surfacing that increases accessibility.

People from the Cherry Hills community helped choose the playground colors during a September meeting.

Millage Park is located at 2802 Cherry Creek Rd. and was obtained by the District in 1991.
