DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — The camel exhibits at the Scovill Zoo are getting a $200,000 upgrade.
The Decatur Park District announced that Representative Sue Scherer secured the funding, allowing the Zoo to enhance its camel exhibit.
According to the district, the funding will provide a more enriching experience for the camels as well as visitors.
Members of the community have been invited to attend a press conference at the camel exhibit on Monday, Oct. 7 at 11 a.m. to hear more details about planned upgrades.
