SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - "The Machine" will be partying in the Capitol City this December ahead of the holiday season. 

Comedian Burt Kreischer's "Permission to Party World Tour" will take the stage Saturday, Dec. 12, at the University of Illinois Springfield Performing Arts Center. 

UIS said that pre-sales for 2nd Act Campaign Donors will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 9. Public ticket sales will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, April 10. 

According to UIS, Kreischer starred in "The Machine," a 2023 film adaptation of his most popular stand-up story, and currently stars in the Netflix comedy series, "Free Bert." Additionally, Kreischer founded the traveling Fully Loaded Comedy Festival. 

Tickets will be available online.
