SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - University of Illinois Springfield students began planning for their future during the university's Career Connections Expo on Friday.
The annual event offered students the opportunity to connect with alumni and employers looking for job and internship candidates.
Representatives for over 80 organizations attended.
"College students are our workforce of the future, so we want to showcase them, show all the employers what they have to offer and what they're looking for when they graduate, and hopefully we can find some matches here," said UIS Assistant Director for Employer and External Relations Suzy Hulligan.
Hulligan said this is an annual event, and the school hosts plenty of smaller events throughout the year as well.
