URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - The City of Urbana has gotten a grant from the African American Mayors Association to fund an online financial literacy program.

The funding will let Urbana launch the Mayor Williams Financial Literacy Program, a computer and mobile friendly series designed for adults aged 21-64. It offers six self-paced topics focused on practical money management, budgeting, credit, debt-reduction strategies, and college savings plans.

Participants who complete all six topics will get a certificate of completion from the City of Urbana and will take part in a recognition ceremony.

The program is free, but you have to register and space is limited. Registration is open and must be done before October 10.
