WARRENSBURG, Ill. (WAND) — The Warrensburg Fire Protection District announced the sudden death of Captain Kendall W. Smith.
Smith served over three decades with the district and was a "devoted firefighter".
"We are deeply grateful for his many years of selfless service and dedication to our community," read part of the announcement from Chief Keith Hackl.
Arrangements have not yet been announced for his funeral service.
