New literary scholarship supports Decatur student writers

A new scholarship is now available for high school seniors in Decatur who have a passion for writing. Lindsey’s Literary Scholarship was created by author and poet Anastasia Lindsey in honor of her late grandfather, aiming to support young writers who use storytelling as a form of self-expression and healing. The $500 award is open to seniors at Decatur-area high schools who have been accepted to a college and plan to attend in fall 2026.
