SPRINGFIELD - In an update to a story WAND brought you earlier today, the Springfield Police Department has announced one person has been arrested in connection with the death of a Springfield woman.
Authorities say Emmaline Osborne, 24, was arrested in the 1500 block of East Lawrence. Springfield police say Osborne was the domestic partner of the victim, and that both women allegedly were involved in an incident that turned physical. Police say the victim suffered multiple stab wounds, and later died at a local hospital. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
Osborne is facing preliminary charges of first-degree murder, aggravated domestic battery, and unlawful use of a weapon. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
