$1 bacon sold in college vending machine

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WAND) – Bacon is sold out of vending machines for a limited time at Ohio State University.

Ohio State University installed the bacon machine at the Animal Science Building on the Ohio State University campus, which is part of the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Students are able to get bacon for just $1 through Dec. 13 as they take final exams, according to WCNC.

The station says bacon sales help the meat science program at Ohio State.

Bacon sold in the machines is provided by Sugardale Foods, Hormel Foods and Smithfield Foods. The partnership also includes the Ohio Pork Council.
