JACKSONVILLE, Ill. (WAND) — Two men are in custody after an armed robbery investigation.
The Jacksonville Police Department worked with Illinois State Police and federal ATF agents to make the arrests. The task force was watching a business in the 1100 block of W. Morton Avenue when two suspected serial armed robbers entered around 9:25 p.m. Saturday.
Police said the two men, a 43-year-old and a 32-year-old, robbed the business and then went to get in a hidden vehicle across the street. Officers arrested them soon after without incident.
First responders treated and released the victim of the robbery at the scene.
