Aging Wall Unveiled in Urbana

Urbana- A new sculpture in Urbana is aimed at making the topic of aging easier to talk about.

Clark-Lindsey unveiled their 'As I Age' Sculpture, which allows residents at the retirement village and members throughout the community to write what aging means to them on the wall.

Clark-Lindsey Community Relations Coordinator is excited for the wall to open up the conversation about aging, "this wall will enable us to have an honest conversation about the good and the bad and our hopes and our dreams that come with aging. It is an inter-generational project so a 5 year old can write on the wall, and a 95 can write on the wall, because we are all aging no matter how old we are so everyone has different thoughts on what aging means" she said.

The Urbana wall joins other As I Age walls throughout the country.

Clark-Lindsey received a grant from Urbana Public Arts Program for the sculpture.
