Springfield, IL- Amtrak passengers can expect some delays through early November on the route between St. Louis and Chicago.
Amtrak says it will use buses to carry passengers on the Lincoln Service and Texas Eagle trains because of construction work on the line that runs through Springfield.
Also, the Illinois Department of Transportation is holding meetings to talk with community leaders on the impact of high-speed rail through the state. There was one in Chatham Monday afternoon and two more are scheduled in Carlinville and Lincoln Tuesday.
