DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) — The Vermilion County State’s Attorney’s Office is receiving new support for crime victims thanks to a donation from Carle Health.
State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy announced the Victim Assistance Program has received a $4,000 donation from Carle Health through its Community Impact Program. The funds will help provide critical resources for victims while criminal cases are pending.
According to the State’s Attorney’s Office, the donation will be used to assist victims with emergency needs such as temporary shelter, travel expenses, food, clothing, and other essential items.
State’s Attorney Lacy said the contribution will make a meaningful difference for individuals and families during difficult times.
“We are incredibly grateful to Carle Health for their generous contribution to our Victim Assistance Program,” Lacy said. “This support reflects the dedication of Carle Health to the well-being of our community. Their generosity helps to ensure victims and their families will receive assistance and resources.”
The Victim Assistance Program works to support those impacted by crime, helping them navigate the legal process while also addressing immediate needs. Officials say partnerships with community organizations like Carle Health play a vital role in ensuring victims receive compassionate care and support beyond the courtroom.
