Hospitals Tax Decision Goes to Illinois Supreme Court

URBANA – Carle Foundation Hospital has been recognized by national medical quality information organization Healthgrades for providing patients with a positive experience during their hospital stay.

Healthgrades evaluated 3,858 hospitals that submitted at least 100 patient experience surveys to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) from April 2014 through March 2015 and chose to give the Healthgrades 2016 Outstanding Patient Experience Award.

Carle was among 448 hospitals that received the award, meaning it was in the top 10% of hospitals in the nation in delivering outstanding patient service.

The award recognizes Carle for “providing outstanding performance in the delivery of a positive experience for patients during their hospital stay.”

Vice President of Quality at Carle, Hope Brown says they are happy to be recognized by Healthgrades and continue to work toward ensuring that excellent experience for patients and families.

“It is very stressful to be in the hospital for any reason whether it is as a patient or as a loved one of the patient. It is up to us to deliver the best possible care and attention to the patient to help reduce that stress,” Brown explains.
