CHARLESTON - The Original Joey's Place has been inducted into the Vienna Beef Hall of Fame.Â
A short ceremony took place Tuesday morning.
Mark and Winona Grant have faithfully opened Joey's Place to hungry customers which has been a staple of Charleston and the Eastern Illinois University community for nearly a quarter century. EIU Alumni, including NFL player Tony Romo and NFL coach Sean Payton, have eaten there. Joey's has been voted best hot dog and fastest delivery on campus.
The Original Joey's Place on Lincoln Avenue has maintained an award winning menu with Vienna Beef Hot Dogs, Polish Sausages, Burgers and many other favorites.
