Morning fog, then afternoon sun

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Saturday! A foggy start won’t stop the great weather in store today, so make sure to get outside and enjoy it.

A Dense Fog Advisory is in place this morning until 8 am for most of the region, and it highlights a drop in visibility down to a mile or less. After the first few hours after sunrise, this should burn off, and we’ll be back to mostly sunny skies.

Temperatures today will warm to the upper 70s under sunshine. We’ll remain quiet through this evening, but late tonight, a few clouds and rain showers will roll in with a quick-moving cold front. While a few, isolated, heavy downpours will be possible overnight, we’ll be back to mainly dry conditions by early Sunday morning.

High pressure returns with cool, dry conditions for the start of our work week.
