CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — The coroner has released the name of the man stabbed to death in northwest Champaign on Saturday.
W. B. Curry, 71, was pronounced dead at 9:50 p.m. on Nov. 16. The coroner said the stabbing happened during a domestic altercation at a home in the 2000 block of Cynthia Drive.
The Champaign Police Department said that 67-year-old Dewandee Carter of Champaign was arrested for the stabbing.
The State's Attorney's Office said Carter was later released from custody pending further investigation.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
