URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - One person was arrested after an Urbana playground and apartment building were hit by machine gun fire Thursday. 

The Urbana Police Department was called to the 1000 block of East Kerr Ave. at 12:42 p.m. 

No people were hit by gunfire, but multiple vehicles, playground equipment, and an apartment building were all struck. 

Officers found an apartment of interest during their investigation and found a gun inside. 

Kenyon Dunn, 20, of Urbana was taken into custody and arrested for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of a Weapon, and for Possession of a Machine Gun/Automatic Weapon.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with more information is asked to call Urbana police.
