DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) -- A 17 year old is dead after a shooting Friday night.Â
Decatur police were called just after 10 p.m. to a shooting at a business near East Wood Street and Jasper Street.
When officers arrived they found the 17-year-old boy who had been shot. He was taken to Decatur Memorial Hospital, where he later died of his injuries.Â
His name has not yet been released.
DPD tells WAND News, Nehemiah T. Meyers of Decatur was arrested on a preliminary charge of first-degree murder and booked in the Macon County Jail.
