SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - A man charged in connection with a stabbing during a large fight in Urbana last year was found not guilty.Â
Champaign County court records stated that a jury found 18-year-old Samuel Garcia of Arcola not guilty of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery charges.Â
Urbana police responded to a reported large fight on Nov. 2 involving around 15 people in the 1600 block of Hunter Street.
Police arrived to find several people had been stabbed or cut, including four who were taken to the hospital.Â
Garcia was eventually arrested and later charged with attempted murder.Â
