SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - A former officer from Springfield, Taylor Staff, who was accused of sexual assault and other misconduct charges, entered a plea agreement on Wednesday and pleaded guilty.
Staff was arrested in February 2021 for incidents involving three separate victims that occurred while he was on duty between January and July 2020.
On Wednesday, he pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse, two counts of official misconduct, custodial sexual misconduct, and criminal sexual abuse.
His sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 8.
