DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — The Decatur Police Department is investigating after a vehicle and possibly a house were hit by gunfire Friday night.
According to police, officers responded to the intersection of Monroe and Division Streets for reports of gunfire around midnight.
When they arrived, police found a vehicle with bullet hole and a home with multiple bullet holes.
Officers talked to the owner of the home, who said the bullet damage was old, but surveillance footage obtained by police shows shooting from a gun that DPD said was likely modified to by fully automatic.
There were no reported injuries and police are still searching for the shooter. Anyone with information is asked to call the Decatur Police Department at 217-424-2711.
