SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The Springfield Police Department has released the name of a suspect who was arrested for a homicide.
The Springfield Police Department responded to a shooting shortly before 6 a.m. along the 1200 block of East Kansas Street.Â
SPD arrived and found a who had been shot to death.Â
The Sangamon County Coroner later identified the victim as 54-year-old Sean Campbell.Â
Rod White, 57, was identified as a suspect and arrested. He was charged with first degree murder, being a felon in possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon by a repeat felony offender.Â
The case is still under investigation.Â
