BROADLANDS, IL- A house fire in Champaign County early Thursday morning claimed the lives of two young children.
The Champaign County Sheriff has confirmed that the two children, ages 1 and 2, died in a fire at a home on Logan Street in Broadlands. The fire started at about 2 a.m. Thursday.
The fire is believed to have started in the garage of the two-story home. The home is a total loss.
Six members of the family lived in the home. The other four occupants were not hurt.
The State Fire Marshal's Office is conducted the investigation. Â
