A Chocolate Long John is used as the body with pretzel sticks for legs, waffle cone cookies for the wings, and red M&M's for the eyes.
The owner says for the first day they flew off the shelf.
"There was some hesitation given the look of the cicada. We really didn't want to make them. But we were persuaded, and so we started making them." said Co- Owner Josh Minnes.
The shop expects to sell the donuts the next couple of weeks, or until the cicadas leave the area.
