CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — Champaign Unit 4 recognized two dozen high school students who earned 2026 College Board National Recognition Awards.
24 students within the district earned the 2026 College Board National Recognition Program School Recognition Award. The honor recognizes high-achieving students for their outstanding academic performance and celebrates their commitment to excellence.
The College Board National Recognition Program also helps students through the college admissions process by recognizing academic achievement and connecting students with colleges and scholarship opportunities across the country.
To qualify to receive the award, a student must score among the top 10% of their high school's test takers on the PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10, or earn a 3+ on 2 or more distinct AP exams by 10th grade.
Winners were selected from both Central High School and Centennial High School.
