SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The Springfield school board approved a renewal of its partnership with the Kidzeum of Health and Science during a meeting Monday night.
The Kidzeum in Springfield helps kids of all abilities learn how to make healthy choices for themselves, along with the betterment of their communities and the planet around them, according to the museum's website.
Over the last four years, the partnership has helped second grade students in the district learn more about STEM and STEAM topics, and it will continue this year.
Board members also approved an agreement between the district and care service provider Brightstar, letting the company provide nurses to district schools.
