SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - As the school year comes to a close, families are looking forward to summer adventures and activities for their children.
District 186 will once again be offering its summer program, SCOPE, for district students, running from Monday, June 9, 2025, to Friday, August 8, 2025.
Registration for the Summer SCOPE for the 2025–26 school year will open in mid-May, alongside District 186's registration. Parents must re-register for SCOPE each school year.
Summer SCOPE will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The program will be closed on June 19 and July 4, allowing families to celebrate these important days together.
This year, the program will be held at two accessible locations: Lindsay Elementary and Wilcox Elementary.
According to District 186, the cost of the program has increased since last year. There will now be a $30 activity fee for each child.
The weekly fee for Summer SCOPE is $155 per child, which covers all field trips, breakfast, a hot lunch, and an afternoon snack. All payments are due on Monday for the upcoming week of service.
