Project Success of Vermilion County announced Wednesday that one of its largest funding streams has terminated for Illinois grantees.

DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - Project Success of Vermilion County announced Wednesday that one of its largest funding streams has terminated for Illinois grantees.

Project Success posted on Facebook that the funding loss will only affect students at Pine Crest Elementary School and Mary Miller Junior High School in the Georgetown-Ridge Farm area.

The organization emphasized its programs in other school districts, and its violence prevention programming will not be impacted.

An appeal has been submitted to the U.S. Department of Education, with zero guaranteed funding past Dec. 31.

Additionally, there will be no buses home for Georgetown-Ridge Farm students.

The organization will provide an after-school program at Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School for a limited number of Mary Miller students, and a similar program for Pine Crest for some of its students.

"We remain deeply committed to the children and families of Georgetown-Ridge Farm and to the staff who make this work possible. Thank you for your continued support," said the organization in the post.

According to the Project Success website, the organization offers after-school programming at 19 locations across Vermilion County, serving over 1,000 students and their families.
