ROCHESTER, Ill. (WAND) - Rochester Superintendent Dan W. Cox announced he will be concluding his tenure as Superintendent of Schools, effective June 30, 2025.
This decision comes as part of a mutual agreement between Cox and the Rochester CUSD #3A Board of Education.
Back in January, the board hired Miller, Tracy, Braun, Funk & Miller, Ltd. to investigate Cox, who was placed on administrative leave on Jan. 6.
According to a joint statement released Wednesday evening, the Board and Cox reached the agreement with respect and appreciation for the work accomplished together over the past five years.
The Board and Cox part ways on amicable terms, acknowledging the complexities of education leadership today and the shared accomplishments achieved during his service.
