Holly's Country Kitchen cooks up a sense of community, Discover Central Illinois

MONTICELLO, ILL (WAND): There's no place like home, that is until you head over to Holly's Country Kitchen in Monticello.

Holly's Country Kitchen is not just a restaurant but a place of community. Of course, that community feeling comes along with breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Holly Miller, the owner, tells WAND News, "the kitchen is where the community gathers and feels at home, everyday." The restaurant hosts regular guests turned family every day. Miller says, "I know who drinks regular, who drinks decaf, who gets cream, who gets water, who gets sweet tea, I know what their orders are everyday. It's very important to me."

Holly's Country Kitchen also provides food straight to farmers hard at work. "Another aspect is also the farm community, Monticello is very rich in farmland and its very important that we serve that community," Miller says.

Holly's is also known for their Freezer Prepped Meals and Fresh Take and Bake meals, which you can order in store or on their website. Holly's specializes in catering as well, from birthdays to weddings to graduations in Monticello and surrounding communities in Central Illinois.
